Requirements and business potential in the S’et
ESG influences your company’s ability to retain customers and cultivate new ones, when you recruit, and when you seek financing.
Social
If your company is a subcontractor to one of the larger or listed companies, then your data on social conditions is therefore absolutely central to the customer relationship. With ESG data, you can therefore stand stronger in relation to:
- market competition, because the large customers need suppliers who can live up to the ESG targets they have set themselves.
- attracting qualified labour. New potential employees want to know how you act on the social agenda.
- collaboration with a bank or financial partner, who will ask about ESG if you, for example, want to increase the credit limit due to an investment.
In the video below, you will be equipped with knowledge about how ESG can be a competitive parameter in your company. Here you will get tools to work on strengthening obvious business potential, so that your company stands stronger in relation to, for example, labour and financing.
Examples
Three concrete examples of the business potential in the S
- A manufacturing company decides to invest in a new robotic welding system. This requires the credit facility to be increased by 4 million. At the meeting with the bank, the business adviser asks for ESG figures in relation to setting the terms.
- A contractor announces to all subcontractors that—in order to continue as a supplier—they must provide data on selected social areas, such as the share of apprentices/trainees, gender distribution, and number of accidents.
- An IT company is having difficulty attracting employees and also has high employee turnover. The IT company loses several customers because deliveries are significantly delayed. Going forward, one of the customers chooses to set requirements for new IT suppliers regarding social conditions such as employee satisfaction and sickness absence rate.
