About the project
This three-year research project (2024–2027) is funded by the Danish Industry Foundation and aims to strengthen the ability of Danish small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to report independently on ESG, whilst identifying new opportunities for ESG-driven business development. The aim is to future-proof and enhance companies’ sustainable competitiveness, growth and value creation in collaboration with customers, partners and investors.
The project has been developed by Aarhus University, Centre for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, in close collaboration with AU iClimate, Cabi and Gejst Studio, and comprises four main activities which the 25 participating SMEs will undertake. The five major client companies are involved in the research as case studies and partners, with a focus on ESG in the value chain.
The project is continuously developing knowledge and tools designed to benefit Danish SMEs and their value chains. Based on the existing knowledge from the project, a range of videos, tools, best practices and lessons learnt have been developed, which you can explore here on the platform. We will be adding knowledge and tools right up until the project’s conclusion, so keep checking back on this page to ensure you have the latest insights in this field.
